At Prositeweb, we enjoy supporting projects that promote diversity and enrich community life. Les Bonnes Adresses Africaines (lesbaa.ca) is much more than a website—it’s a digital hub that encourages the discovery, promotion, and outreach of businesses, restaurants, and initiatives on the African continent.

Project objective

The project leaders came to us with an ambitious idea: to create a robust and welcoming platform where African communities can share their best recommendations, discover events, and connect with their cultural roots. The challenge was twofold:

• Build a living directory : identify and highlight businesses, artisans, producers and cultural actors;

• Develop an editorial content space : events, portraits, cultural chronicles and authentic recipes.

Our approach

Rather than starting from a template, we focused on a true immersion in the African cultural universe. This is achieved through several key steps:

1. Co-creation workshops with the desbaa.ca team to establish the structure, visual DNA and user journey.

2. Tailor-made visual identity , integrating patterns, bright colors and typography inspired by African styles, while ensuring readability and navigation comfort.

3. Development under WordPress of a filterable and intuitive directory, combined with an “Events and News” section that can be easily enriched by the community manager.

4. Mobile optimization and SEO , essential to ensure local visibility of addresses and encourage discovery by search engines.

The result
